Lake Forest Kitchen Remodel

Our Lake Forest client needed an updated kitchen that reflected her taste and her family's lifestyle. Her family of 4 and a puppy are bright, energetic and not afraid of color. They also spend much of their time in the kitchen, and the mother is an avid cook.

Process

Our client decided to keep the existing cabinets, and replace her appliances on her own.

  • Cadmium selected the Bordeaux granite countertops. We went shopping without our client first and then went shopping with her to select these slabs.
  • We chose a beautiful bisque color sink, and brushed nickel touchless faucet.
  • We updated cabinet hardware with satin nickel knobs.
  • We chose an eclectic Fireclay orange tile for the backsplash.
  • LED undercabinet Lights were specified, and were put on a dimmer.
  • Two beautiful crystal pendants were chosen to hang over the island, this also was put on a dimmer.
  • Cadmium selected paint color and trim color.
  • The cornice in the breakfast area are continuous, and the same fabric was used to create a Memory board in the desk area of the kitchen.

Cadmium also shared images with our client via Pinterest, including a wine storage over the fridge. She was able to show her carpenter the image and had it installed as well.

Results

Our client and her family are thrilled with the richness of the space. We are also so happy that she is brave enough to go with such a bold pattern, it truly does reflect her personality.

We also provided the interior design for her 2nd Bathroom which is in renovation right now. Pictures soon to come!
